In February, Richard and I visited the Brighton University
to present a drastically modified version of our seminar.
The audience on this occasion were student Town Planners
who were on a Masters two-year part time course.
I did my usual line & wash presentation and offered one of my sketches up to those
who thought that they might like to copy it. Only two fancied their chances.
Richard illustrated his talk explaining the techniques of constructing images
and the essentials of establishing scale by the use of perspective and rendering methods.
After lunch the students got to work and produced
a huge number of differing images
by tracing from the single reference sheet which Richard had supplied.
We judged that the winner was Hilary G
On this occasion no prizes were awarded, for drawing, painting
and the appreciation of architecture is not part of the Town Planning course!
