I am a qualified architect (since 1997), and an artist and illustrator with over 25 years of experience. I currently work as an architect in Sussex. I am primarily a front end architectural designer who gets involved with early design proposals and presentations including eye level and aerial perspectives. I would like to take on more of this work outside of the practice as my passion is for drawing and illustrating.
All of my illustrations are hand-drawn, primarily using pen on paper or trace, which is then refined in Photoshop, with digital colours added if necessary. In addition, I can build 3D buildings in Sketchup which help inform the drawn information. As well as producing many images though the architectural profession for commercial clients, I also undertake private commissions as an illustrator and artist focussing mainly on house portraits, interiors and street scenes.
My design background enables me to comprehend the intricacy and subtlety of projects, while also allowing me to interpret my clients’ concepts and visions. I customize my illustrations to align with each project’s specific design stage, or clients visions incorporating the appropriate level of detail. I am more than willing to work with basic plan information and concept imagery, or, alternatively, with detailed design packages.
