My background as a conservation architect and my love of drawing led to the creation of ‘Drawing the Street’, where I draw long street elevations in and around conservation areas. I like to draw the parts of the towns which are more overlooked and draw them as accurately as I find them. I include any practical architectural detail which may inform historians or architects in future about the life and context of these buildings. I share all my work on my website and blogs (links below) and there are now fifty streets in my collection, all of places which are meaningful to me.
I now live and work in the old orchard country of the Clyde Valley, Scotland.
